Known as the seigneury of Tonnancour in the 17th century, Pointe-du-Lac is now one of the most beautiful districts of Trois-Rivières along the shores of Lake Saint-Pierre. Its enviable geographical location, along the river between Quebec City and Montreal, makes it a key section of the Chemin du Roy (King’s Road).

A fertile land for agricultural activities, the Moulin seigneurial de Pointe-du-Lac mill was built here in 1721 and is now classified as a historic monument. The construction of the Église Notre-Dame-de-la-Visitation church in 1738 also marked a significant milestone in the community’s development.

With its welcoming and resilient community, Pointe-du-Lac is courageously recovering from a major fire that devastated part of the village core in 2005. This district, with its stunning coastal landscapes, remains a must-visit destination, featuring a beach along Lake Saint-Pierre, vast green spaces, cultural vibrancy and the iconic Le Grec restaurant. A favorite spot for outdoor enthusiasts, food lovers and nature seekers looking to recharge!
